I am a big fan of chicken rice, and like most Singaporeans, I love eating!
Recently, I was introduced to Mr Chicken Rice at Down Town East in Pasir Ris.
With a famous chef coming from the Famous Meritus Mandarin “Chatterbox”, we were looking forward to our meal there. (Chatterbox’s Chicken Rice is infamous in Singapore as it charges hotel prices for a normal hawker dish)
Situated on the 2nd floor, and tucked near a corner of the mall, U wont be able to miss the restaurant as they have pictures of the Chef plastered on the wall.
If you are thinking about eating at “Mr Chicken Rice”, don’t expect food court prices, but expect tasty food at affordable prices.
There were even some youths in the next table – so it’s not not expensive.
How is the food?
Not too bad… I have tasted better!
The chicken is not as big, as what they have at “Chatterbox”, but the chicken is still tasty, and coupled with fragrant rice, it still makes a great meal!
Parenting Advice:
We went for round table near the corner, as there is more space for our stroller, and there is not much traffic in the corners. There are also adequate baby chairs provided by the management as well.
If u are stuck in the far eastern part of Singapore, it would be an affordable place to eat!

Yeah, it is a GOOD plate of chicken rice, but there're also plenty of good places around too. :P
That's also one of my family favourite makan pl whenever we're at downtown east. The girls loves " chicken rice" too ( ya, just the rice nt so much of the chicken).

My 13yr old bro said the chicken rice is really nice too!! He went there aft sch to eat as he studies opp only! I am gg to go try it out soon!
