I am still having my exams, so I decided to post some commercials! That way I don’t have to use up any of my brain power, and I can still keep all your guys entertained!

I hope u bear with me during period, as I got lots of Greek to catch up on….still owe some of my readers a few posts…and give my views about Halloween…

Getting back to this blog post: The commercial below is actually from Thailand, and despite the fact that u need to read the subtitles…the advertisements are really quite funny!

So, if u are looking for some brain-dead entertainment…this is it!

Oprah Winfrey Flash Mob

Hooray! I just finished 1 of my assignments, and as I was just relaxing, I happened to check out my colleagues website.

Dawn introduced this flash mob which was done at Oprah Winfrey’s curtain raiser for her 24th season.  The band leading the way were the Black Eyed Peas…but the interesting thing, was the number of people that she got involved in the project.

The effect is actually quite impressive! Well, if u are Oprah Winfrey…u can pull a lot of things off!!!

You can check it out in the video below!

After that, I decided to google for some funny advertisements, as there are actually quite a few funny commercials around. To date, my favourite funny commercial is the DHL advertisement that was made in Korea. It is so hilarious!

I just saw this commercial and it is really funny as well! F

This is for all couples expecting or anticipating children…u have got to watch it!

If u don’t understand the commercial, this might help u!

Commercial Advertising – It’s Krrunch Time

Recently, I stumbled upon some commercials produced locally.

Nuffnang together with Pringles Potato Chips had a Contest to assist Pringles in advertising their potato chips. Btw, Nicole has her views on her favourite food as well…u can check out her video here!

I took a look at one of the entries for the contest, and I was impressed by their creativity!

Bearing in mind that we are nowhere near Hollywood standards, but considering the fact that the producers of this commercial look like students – I think they guys did a very good job.

The results are not out yet, but I think this commercial gets my vote!

I can’t get a seat!

Parenting and handing newborn babies is always  going to be a difficult and enriching experience.

I have therefore been keeping a lookout for new perspectives on parenting and researching on experiences of potential parents. (Btw, Thanks so much for your continual votes as a Best Parenting Blog, and your support as one of the Best Daddy Bloggers!)

Just the other day, I stumbled onto this advertisement and it is so funny!!!

Considering the amount of problems, Singapore seems to have with rude and ungracious commuters…

Maybe we need a pregnant women like this, to make things happen!

Watch and learn ! :)

MCYS Family Advertisement

I don’t get to watch much TV, as during the prime hours of the night, I am properly at a meeting…

But recently, I went to my friends’ blog and there was a really good ad there made by the Ministry of Community Development. I think it is currently been “aired” on Prime Time TV in Singapore.

I was kind of skeptical about watching the ad at first, as most government ads are kind of boring and ‘stuffy’.

However, after watching the ad, I thought it was really quite funny and touching as well.

Quite a good portrayal of married life and an accurate reflection of the idiosyncrasies that we find in our partners.

Hope u liked it…

Btw, if u are thinking about your loved ones at the moment, do invite them down to the Singapore Expo and Jurong West this weekend.

I am sure that they will enjoy the drama production & it will definitely make the whole Easter Holiday more meaningful!

Shokudo - Japanese food (Marche Style)

IMG_2407

We had a small gathering on Sunday, and we tried out this Japanese Restaurant at City Hall.

Located at B1, "Shokudo" is food served Marche Style. Similar to the Swiss restaurant at Vivo City, each customer is given a card, and selects his/her from a huge array of Japanese Food.

IMG_2403 The interior decor of Shokudo is really nice and homely, and I was actually quite overwhelmed with the selection of Japanese food. The guys thought that I would go for the pasta, but I decided to try the Unagi egg rice bowl instead. It was nice!!!

If you are looking for a place with a nice ambience, this place is a good bet! We went there on a sunday night, and there was plenty of room!

For food that is unforgettable - This will not be the place. It was nice, but definitely not a place, where u will go on and on, about the food to your friends :)

A great plus for the restaurant is that they had a big play area for the kids. This place is definitely useful when you have 3 kids!

Before I go, here's a commercial that will help you relax and hopefully spark off your imagination!
